History of the VILA VITA Hotels
The history of VILA VITA Hotels begins with the first voyages of the Deutschen Vermögensberatung to Austria in 1980. At that time, Prof. Dr. Reinfried Pohl, his wife Anneliese and their two sons travelled regularly with financial advisors and their families to the Austrian province of Burgenland. There they laid the foundation for Pannonia, the small, distinguished hotel group that today includes five hotels and a winery. The hotels are not only popular meeting places for many financial advisors, but they also provide the ideal setting for conferences and training sessions.
In 1990 the first hotel opened - VILA VITA Burghotel in Dinklage. That same year, the Schlosshotel Oberstotzingen opened on the edge of the Donaurieds. In 1992, the 5-star beach resort VILA VITA Parc followed in the Portuguese Algarve; today a "Leading Hotel of the World" and selected as the second best beach resort in Europe by the renowned travel magazine "Geo Saison". In 1993 Prof. Dr. Pohl Pannonia bought the site of those first trips together and opened it as VILA VITA Pannonia. Since 1997, the hotel group has had its own vineyard, the "Herdade dos Grous" in Portuguese Alentejo.
Complementing the multiple award-winning wine, a horse and cattle breeding farm as well as an excellent olive oil producer have been added in the meantime. Last but not least, in 2000, the 5-star Superior Hotel Vila Vita Rose Park opened in Marburg.
From the start, Anneliese Pohl attended to the furnishing and outfitting of the hotels. It is thanks to her that each of the facilities has a very personal touch, blends harmoniously with each respective landscape and has been customised with attention to detail. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and it is not surprising that large number of guests visit the VILA VITA Hotels regularly.
In 2011 the newest member of the VILA VITA Hotels opened - the VILA VITA Anneliese Pohl Seedorf on the Mecklenburg Lake Plau. A holiday and seminar campus, this location offers a car-free, untouched village with room for up to 188 guests.
Overall, the group has 645 rooms at its disposal for a maximum of almost 1,590 guests to which the 960 employees located in Germany, Austria and Portugal attend. The hotel group is under the management of Andreas Pohl.
